Keeping Us Grounded
Here you can see Sean and James working hard to drive the long steel spikes into the ground. The structure itself is held down by about 25 of these spikes that go about 4 feet down into the earth. Each anchor looks like a long metal screw and requires two people to drive, one pounds the top with a sledge hammer and the other turns it with a large crowbar. This should hold the tent down and resist the fierce winds of the South!
